Founder of BridgePoint Educational Consulting

Quan-Asia Bain-James, LMSW

Quan-Asia Bain-James, LMSW is the founder of BridgePoint Educational Consulting. The vision for BridgePoint began in 2018 through work in Mobile Crisis, the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and the Department of Education, where she saw firsthand the barriers that can separate families and schools—and the importance of bridging education, mental health, and relationships to help school communities thrive.

As a Trauma-Informed Coach and Autism Family Support Consultant, she supports families and schools in understanding and meeting the unique needs of children with autism, behavioral challenges, and emotional stressors. Her work includes helping families access local services, supporting communication and emotional regulation, guiding parents through IEP processes and school-based supports, and connecting families with educational tools and advocacy resources.

She also brings experience as a Restorative Justice Coordinator and in youth mentoring, supporting schools in building restorative systems and mentoring relationships that strengthen belonging, accountability, and student leadership.

BridgePoint partners with schools and organizations to strengthen connections between students, families, and educators so that learning and well-being thrive together.

The approach is relationship-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in practical support that meets each community’s unique needs.
